Free Webinar - This or That: Saying no to low-impact projects to pave the way for more strategy

Presented by: Apra IL and Katie Princo, Development Research Analyst at the University of Colorado

Over the past decade, the University of Colorado embarked on a journey from a completely reactive shop with no visibility or connections to fundraisers to being a strategic partner. They leveraged new policies and procedures, increased their visibility with leadership, gave their development colleagues access to more resources and tools (and training) to empower them, and freed up time for projects that were once only pipedreams. This presentation will use examples to show how CU did this at a project level and also how they achieved the advocacy necessary for the new direction. It also includes some advice for building relationships with gift officers and tips for saying “no” and setting good boundaries for your work.
